Author Guidelines

The language of the journal is English. The manuscripts should be submitted online in the PDF format. The style of the manuscript should follow the recent articles printed in Archives of Mechanics and available online. Of special importance are the following recommendations:

  • The title of the paper should be informative and not too long.
  • The text should be preceded by a brief abstract of 100-200 words.
  • Several key words should be provided just below the abstract.
  • Formulas should be numbered using two digits: the first represents the section number and the other the formula number in that section.
  • References in the text of the paper should be indicated by numbers in square brackets and should be numbered in the order of appearance in the text. The reference list at the end of the manuscript should include the initials of the first name(s) and the surname of the author, and then the full title (in the original language and in English). These should be followed by: for book's - the publisher's name, and the place and year of publication; for periodicals - the full title of the periodical, volume number (in bold face or underlined), issue number (when needed), page number, and the year of publication. At the end, please provide the DOI number, if exists. In the case of online sources, the date of access should be provided after the http address.
  • Figures in the submitted paper should already be of the final quality suitable for printing.
  • The electronic source files of the whole manuscript, with separate files for the figures, are required immediately upon its acceptance for publication.
  • The preferable format for the text is LaTeX while MS Word is also acceptable. Separate files for the figures should be provided in one of the following formats: EPS or PostScript (preferable), PDF, TIFF, JPEG, BMP, of at least 600 DPI resolution. Mathematical symbols in the figures should be in italics if correspond to such symbols used in the text.
  • A PDF file of a published article will be freely available on the journal web site.
  • Upon request and subject to a reduced fee, authors may obtain a copy of the printed issue of the journal containing their article. Please contact the editorial office for details.
